Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our services, processes and project workflow.

General

  • What kinds of projects does iKas Global work on?
iKas Global delivers construction (residential, commercial, industrial, public), civil engineering (foundations, roads, engineering works), container conversion, electrical and MEP installations, feasibility studies (energy, infrastructure) and project management. We support public institutions, mining operators and the private sector.
  • Which DRC provinces does iKas Global operate in?
We operate across the entire territory of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our head office is in Kinshasa, with an operational office in Lubumbashi. We have delivered or are running projects in several provinces: Kinshasa, Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, North Kivu, Kwango. Our logistics is sized to intervene anywhere in the DRC.
  • How can I get a quote for my project?
Submit an online quote request via the site form ("Request a quote" section). State your project type, location, indicative budget and desired start date. Our team responds within 48 business hours to schedule a detailed conversation and prepare a tailored estimate.
  • What are typical delivery lead times?
Lead times depend on project type and scale:

    - Container-to-office conversion: 4–12 weeks depending on volume
    - Residential or office building: 6–18 months
    - Hospital or complex school building: 12–24 months
    - Feasibility study: 4–16 weeks

We share a detailed schedule once we have studied your project and the estimate is validated.

Process

  • What does an iKas Global feasibility study include?
An iKas Global feasibility study covers:

    - A technical study (sizing, modelling, solution selection)
    - An economic study (CAPEX, OPEX, financial modelling, financing plan)
    - An environmental and social study (impacts, mitigation measures, regulatory compliance)
    - An implementation plan (phasing, schedule, organisation)

Typical deliverable: a structured dossier usable as a basis for EPC tendering or financing applications.
  • Do you work with institutional and financial partners?
Yes. iKas Global works with DRC public institutions, leading mining operators (METALKOL, MILVEST), private groups (RADEM, Zenith, Miller Holding) and international technical partners. We can structure projects to meet the requirements of lenders and financing organisations.
  • What are your health, safety and environment (HSE) practices?
Safety is an absolute priority. Every site applies an HSE plan aligned with international standards: PPE, safe working procedures, team training, regular audits, incident logs. On mining and hospital sites we align with the client's own specific standards.
  • How do you guarantee the quality of delivered assets?
    Our quality approach rests on:

    - Design studies validated by our engineers and the client
    - Materials quality control (concrete, steel and waterproofing tests)
    - Weekly site meetings with written minutes
    - Functional tests before handover
    - Provisional and final acceptance formally recorded
    - A ten-year structural guarantee

Costs

  • How is an iKas Global quote built?
An iKas Global quote rests on a detailed cost breakdown by package (structure, second-fix, MEP, finishes, outdoor works). It covers supplies, labour, any subcontracting, logistics, overheads and margin. No hidden costs: everything appears clearly in the quote provided before contract signature.
  • What are your payment terms?
Terms are defined in each contract. As a rule, we work in instalments (at signature, at mobilisation, then at defined progress milestones), with a retention released once snags are closed. We adapt terms to project type and client profile (public institution, company, individual).
