Mining Infrastructure

Civil engineering and specialised works for mining operators across Katanga, Lualaba and beyond: pontoons, heavy haul roads, technical and logistics buildings.

iKas Global operates on active mining sites in the DRC under strict operational, safety and HSE constraints. Our flagship reference is pontoon and haul-road construction for METALKOL at the Mutoshi site (Lualaba) — a project executed in wet environments with complex supply logistics.

Our expertise covers:

  • Heavy civil works: earthworks, special foundations, engineering structures

  • Mining roads: haul tracks, platforms, drainage

  • Operational buildings: workshops, stores, laboratories, housing

  • Pontoons and hydraulic structures

  • Full HSE integration on every site

Our teams are trained to the standards of major mining companies (ICMM, IFC PS) and work in close coordination with the client's operations and HSE departments.

Requirements & Prerequisites

  • Detailed site description and topographic plan

  • Available geotechnical studies (soil, hydrology)

  • Site HSE specifications and access rules

  • Operations schedule to minimise the impact of works

  • Expected volumes and dimensions of structures

Typical Deliverables

  • Execution studies and detailed drawings signed by an engineer

  • Mobilisation of teams and equipment on site

  • Construction of structures in compliance with HSE standards

  • Project HSE plan, JSAs and daily toolbox talks

  • Provisional and final acceptance with complete documentation

  • Ten-year warranty in line with DRC regulations
