iKas Global is delivering the Kasongo Lunda school complex in Kwango province for Zenith and the DRC Government — a project with strong impact on access to education in a strategic rural area.

Our approach to school buildings rests on three pillars:

  • Durability: local materials where possible, natural ventilation, roofs resistant to tropical rains
  • Safety: compliance with seismic and fire-protection standards, evacuation signage, child-adapted railings
  • Accessibility: ramps, PRM sanitary facilities, ergonomic furniture

We also design surrounding spaces: shaded playgrounds, sports fields, educational gardens, gender-separated sanitary blocks and on-site teacher housing.
