Feasibility studies & consulting
Upstream of any large project, the quality of preparatory studies dictates the success of the investment. iKas Global supports public clients and private investors from initial idea to financial close, bringing methodological rigour, technical expertise and a deep understanding of the Congolese context.
Our consultants and engineers combine hands-on operational experience with command of international methodological standards. We work across all sectors — building, energy, infrastructure, mining, agro-industry — and produce deliverables aligned with the requirements of major lenders (World Bank, AfDB, AFD, KfW, IFC) when required.
Technical feasibility studies
Preliminary and detailed sizing, technology selection, variant comparison, CAPEX and OPEX estimation, master schedule. Our studies factor in local constraints from the outset: material availability, logistics, workforce, climate, regulation.
Economic and financial studies
Cost-benefit analysis, IRR, NPV, life-cycle financial modelling, financing-plan structuring, identification of funding sources (public, private, blended, lenders).
Environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA)
Baseline diagnosis, identification of direct and indirect impacts, Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), mitigation and compensation measures, stakeholder consultation. Our studies comply with the standards of the Congolese Environmental Agency (ACE) and of international lenders.
Modelling and simulation
3D BIM models, energy simulations, hydraulic modelling, traffic studies, complex structural calculations. These tools let us optimise design choices and present clear, compelling decision-support to clients.
Flagship reference: Kibomango Solar Plant (1,000 MW)
iKas Global delivered the feasibility study for one of the most ambitious renewable-energy projects in Central Africa: the 1,000 MW Kibomango solar plant, on behalf of the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The study covered solar-resource assessment, preliminary technical design, cost evaluation, environmental impact assessment and financing plan.
Owner's engineer (AMO)
We support our clients throughout the project: drafting of requirements, contractor selection, execution monitoring, cost and schedule control, works validation, commissioning support.
